Additional coding opportunities shaped with each school.
School programs are intended for settings seeking extra technology learning, including communities where students face barriers to extracurricular digital education. Program structure is discussed with each school rather than taken from a one-size-fits-all package.
Beginner Python course
A structured multi-session introduction built around clear concepts and project work.
Introductory workshop
A focused session that introduces coding through a manageable practical task.
Technology or career talk
A direct, age-appropriate discussion linked to real technical learning and pathways.
Hackathon or project day
A defined build brief, working period and presentation format for a student cohort.
What shapes the proposal
Discussion considers existing access to extracurricular coding, student demand, device and internet availability, location, school supervision capacity, timetable compatibility and TechCommons instructor capacity.

Currently developing
Flexible coding for interrupted education.
TechCommons is developing flexible coding talks, workshops and courses for young people whose education has been disrupted by cancer treatment or recovery. Programs will be designed with participating support organisations so that delivery reflects students’ schedules, access needs and supervision requirements.
TechCommons is in the contacting stage. No partner organisations are currently confirmed. The program is educational: TechCommons does not claim medical expertise or therapeutic outcomes, and a general enquiry should not include diagnoses.

Online or in-person introductions that connect technology, creativity and continued learning.
Short coding workshops
Online or in-person sessions with a contained, practical coding outcome.
Flexible teaching courses
Multi-week online or in-person formats adapted with the coordinating organisation.
Participation planning
Scheduling, breaks, access and supervision agreed before delivery.

Delivery design centres continued access to learning, flexible participation, creativity, coding skills and confidence using technology. It is planned in consultation with the organisation responsible for the setting.
